FLEXIBLE - WIRELAID 3D

In Wirelaid 3D circuit boards, a straight groove is milled perpendicular to the backside of the internal wires. It is possible to bend the circuit board by up to 105° at the groove. Thanks to this feature, costly plug-in connectors are superflous for connecting two separate PCBs.

Of course, the same structure can be obtained by employing the Rigid-flex, but there is a big difference in cost. If both "plug-in connectors" and "Rigid-Frex" are replaced with Wirelaid 3D, a sharp reduction in cost is possible. Furthermore, due to the small bending radius of 1mm, self-contained systems like cubes with excellent EMC characteristics can be produced from a single PCB.

HIGH CURRENTS - WIRELAID POWER

The ever-increasing industry sector generally, leads to a rising demand for increasingly high currents circuits.

The current is proportional to the cross section area of the conducting paths. So wide conductor paths or thick copper have been conventional methods for a long time.
Wide conductor paths require large board areas. Thick copper comes at high cost due to material, complex etching processes, and establishing high density in thick copper foil.

This is where Wirelaid Power reveals its technical potential. It increases the cross section area of the high current conductor path by laying supplementary wire on the copper foil. As a result, a reduction of the board area, a decreased number of layers, small pitched controller units and high power on one single PCB reduce costs sharply.

High currents of 150 ~ 200A in the PCB can be achieved by laying multiple wires on a high current path.
